Ahtahkakoop Cree Developments (ACD) was established as the “for profit” business investment and development division of the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation. ACD is the umbrella organization that holds the corporate business investments; it is responsible for the overall management of the business portfolio.

ACD is charged with identifying investment opportunities, going through a structured due diligence process, and finalizing business investment transactions for those opportunities that meet its defined profitability, risk and employment criteria.

The analysis and management for ACD is done by a team of professionals lead by the Chief Executive Officer, Carmen Little. Carmen has the specialized competencies to plan for and execute successful ventures for and with First Nations.

The Governing body of ACD is a Board of Directors comprised of business professionals including chartered accountants, bankers, and highly influential and connected individuals.

Existing Business Operations

of ACD consist of a gas and grocery store, a gas and confectionery store, a deli, and a tire shop. ACD also provides management and accounting services to the First Nation under contract for several community service initiatives. Current operations of ACD provide 25 full-time and 10 seasonal positions.
